Geuzen in ambush
Twenty story poles highlight the history and heritage of the Haarlemmermeer polder.
During the siege of Haarlem, the Spaniards used the Spaarndammerdijk to get to pro-Spanish Amsterdam. This was the location at which the Geuzen ambushed the Spaniards in 1573.
